The Office of International Student Services (ISS) is devoted to the unique personal and educational goals and needs of the diverse international community at Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ÊÓƵ.

The office strives to promote awareness, perspectives, and understanding of international cultures to cultivate informed global citizenship.

What does the ISS do?

  • Educates the campus about and act as a resource for questions pertaining to federal immigration regulations affecting foreign students.
  • Serves as Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ÊÓƵ’s Designated School Official for F1 students, and Responsible Officer for J1 exchange visitors.
  • Advises students on how to secure visas, maintain immigration status, and secure the benefits of that status.
  • Manages SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) compliance.
  • Advocates across the campus for the distinctive issues international students face in their transition to life at Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ÊÓƵ and the United States.
  • Creates an environment of openness, curiosity, and knowledge to inspire the Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ÊÓƵ community to explore new cultures and experiences.
  • Administers programs that bring greater understanding of social and culture issues.
  • Maintains International House as Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ÊÓƵ’s center for international education.
