Chicago Business Trek

Discover the diverse career-development opportunities offered by Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ÊÓƵ's Career Center through our Explore Treks program! Open to ALL Lawrentians — regardless of major or class year—these treks provide a range of experiences, from the Chicago Business Trek to other industry-focused journeys.

Explore Treks:

Rather than hosting only career fairs, the Career Center wishes to provide students a unique approach to accessing employers. Specifically, because of the pandemic, students expressed a significant amount of anxiety surrounding: a lack of access to job shadowing, ability to see what employees do in their jobs, or knowing what workplaces might look like. Furthermore, students have shared that Zoom interactions with employers were helpful, but seeing an employer's workplace would be more informative.

Therefore, we created Explore Treks! Aligning to our Career Communities, students from various majors and class years have the opportunity to go off campus and spend a day connecting with local or regional employers. Not only will students get to network with employers and LU alumni, but these treks provide a valuable learning experience in terms of both career exploration and professional development for students interested in various industries.

Is your organization interested in participating in a trek or want to learn more?
