FALL TERM 2024
  • September 9
    • New/Transfer Student Move-In 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
    • Community Meetings 9 p.m. in your community
  • September 14 & 15 - Returning Student Move-In by appointment 9:00am-4:00pm
  • September 16 – 1st day of classes
  • September 19 – Meal plan changes end for Fall Term at 12 p.m.
  • September 30 – Room change period begins for Fall Term
  • October 7 – Winter break housing signup begins
  • October 24 – 27 – Mid-term reading period
  • November 8 – Room change period ends for Fall Term
  • November 22 – Winter break housing signup ends
  • November 22-23 – Finals Reading Period

  • November 27 – Residence Halls Close at 12 p.m.

    • Returning Student Housing Application Closes and $200 Pre-payment due by 11:59 p.m.
  • March 31 – 1st day of classes
  • April 3 – Meal plan changes end for Spring Term at 12 p.m.
  • April 14
    • Room change period begins
    • Returning Student Room Selection Begins
  • May 8 – 11 – Mid-term reading period
  • May 23 – Room change period ends
  • June 1 – Summer Housing application closes at 11:59 p.m.
  • June 7 – 8 – Finals reading period
  • June 9 – 11 – Spring Term Final Exams
  • June 12 – Residence Halls close at 12 p.m. for those not participating in graduation
  • June 15 – Residence Halls close at 6 p.m. for graduating seniors

    Request an exemption from campus housing requirements based on specific criteria.
  • Request Housing/Meal Accommodations
    Need to request a meal accommodation or a housing accommodation based on a medical or other qualifying criteria? Students in active status or who will be registering for an upcoming term can connect with Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ÊÓƵ's Accessibility Services by completing the eligibility form to have your request reviewed.

What to Bring and Not Bring

WHAT YOU NEED:
  • Twin XL Bedding (36" x 80") (Sheets, Comforter, Pillows, etc.)
  • Bath towels and washcloths
  • Toiletries
  • Clothes (remember we experience 4 seasons at LU)
  • Hangers
  • Laundry Basket or Hamper
  • High-Efficiency Laundry Detergent (Not Pods)
  • Fan
  • UL-approved Power Strip
  • Smart TV or TV and Streaming Device
  • Streaming Service log-ins and Gaming Equipment (with Ethernet Cable)
  • Shower Caddy and Shower Shoes
  • Storage Containers and/or Closet Organizer
  • Damage-Free Adhesives
  • Laptop
  • School Supplies (Notebooks, Pencils, Pens, etc.)
  • Personal Information (Health Insurance Card, IDs, etc.)
  • Personal Health Kit (Thermometer, Bandages, etc.)
  • Mini Fridge less than 4 cubic feet (optional)
IN ADDITION TO ABOVE, FOR FOX COMMONS:
  • Pots & pans

  • Dishes

  • Utensils

  • Food storage containers

  • Dish towel

  • Small appliances

  • Dish drainer

  • Shower curtain & rings

  • Bath mat or rug

  • Cleaning supplies

  • Tall kitchen trash can

  • Small bathroom trash can

THESE ITEMS ARE ALLOWED, BUT OFTEN GET THROWN OUT:
  • Futons and Other Furniture
  • Full-Length Mirrors
  • Area Rugs
  • Printers (residence halls have printing stations for student use)
  • Bed Risers (up to 12 inches, though most are only sold in 6 inch sizes)
WHAT ISN'T ALLOWED:
  • Halogen Lamps
  • Air Conditioner Units
  • Space Heaters
  • Microwaves
  • Candles or Incense
  • Any Weapon, including Airsoft Guns and Ornamental Knives
  • Dart Boards
  • Non-UL-approved Extension Cords
  • Pets (except fish in a 10 gallon or less aquarium - one per student)
  • LED Light Strips with Included Adhesives (damages walls)
  • Anything with an Open-Heating Element, including George Foreman Grills, Air Fryers, Hot or Induction Plates, Toasters, and Toaster Ovens or anything with an open heating element (these items are restricted in the residence halls, but allowed in the apartment kitchens)

Shipping to Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ÊÓƵ

To enable students to ship room furnishings in advance of their arrival on campus, please follow these guidelines:

  • Timing: Students are asked not to ship items more than 2 weeks in advance of their move-in date due to mailroom capacity constraints.
  • Address: Look up a student's "SPC number" inÌýÌý(requires student login) and use the following shipping address format:
