An interdisciplinary topic in nature, linguistics prepares you for a variety of careers and advanced study opportunities.

Lawrentians can go on to pursue careers in foreign service, speech language therapy, software engineering and technology (e.g., natural language processing, speech recognition), education (secondary and higher ed), consulting, business, government, and law. 

They can also earn advanced degrees in Linguistics, Cognitive Science, Law, Physical science, English, Computer Science, and Teaching English as a Second Language.
