Writing takes many forms in our lives as both an art form and a practical form of communication, both of which are useful in professional settings and advanced study.

Creative writing graduates often enter writing-centric fields, starting careers as editors, journalists, publishers, and more. Other students choose to apply their writing skills beyond the realm of professional writing as marketers, public relations specialists, librarians, art administrators, and more. The creative writing curriculum and the resulting portfolio create competitive candidates for advanced study at top programs, as well.

Lawrentians can go on to pursue careers in editing, journalism, arts administration, arts therapy, marketing, education, publishing, and communications.

They can also earn advanced degrees in English, creative writing, journalism, law, marketing, and business.
