In the first line of research, her work analyzes how siblings—an overlooked familial resource—serve as consequential sources of educational support in Latine and Asian American families. In the second line of research, her work examines how children and siblings manage the stress stemming from incarceration. Her research has been published in outlets such asÌýSociological Perspectives,ÌýThe Russell Sage Foundation Journal of the Social Sciences, and The Journal of Latinos and Education.ÌýAdditionally, her work has been funded by the American Sociological Association, the Mellon Mays Foundation, and the Social Science Research Council.
