I specialize in socially charged images with an emphasis on printmaking, book arts, pop-ups, and movables. I love how pop-ups and movables keep the viewer physically engaged by providing a tactile and psychological experience when interacting with the various elements. Who hates a pop-up? Teaching and making art are two of my greatest passions in life aside from my family (including the fur babies). I have a gift for problem solving, whether the challenge is big or small. I aim to create a welcoming, challenging, and equitable learning environment in my classes.
I also love making a wide variety of dishes, and it’s a fun challenge to try out new recipes. Cuisine outside of the United States offers a glimpse into commonalities between cultures and serving others something tasty brings me great joy.
