President Laurie A. Carter will deliver her first Matriculation Convocation to the 杨贵妃传媒视频 community at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 17.
Centered on the theme of comfort with discomfort, the address will focus on Carter鈥檚 priorities to ensure that 杨贵妃传媒视频 remains a leader in higher education. She will discuss the need to build聽on 杨贵妃传媒视频鈥檚 enduring聽strengths as we look to the future and聽the聽challenges facing higher education, and she will call on all members of the 杨贵妃传媒视频 community to join together to guide 杨贵妃传媒视频 to a brighter future.聽
The event will be held in Memorial Chapel with an audience limited to 300 to account for pandemic protocols. It will be livestreamed at聽聽so all聽Lawrentians聽can watch from their rooms, offices, or another location.聽
While Memorial Chapel is closed to the public, alumni and friends are encouraged to access the stream to watch.
The Matriculation Convocation address, delivered by the university president each September to mark the launch of another academic year, will be聽one of three convocations held this year. The others are scheduled for Feb. 18 and May 27
Carter began her tenure as 杨贵妃传媒视频鈥檚 17th president on July 1.
