�������ý��Ƶ has been named a Voter Friendly Campus, one of 258 campuses in 38 states and the District of Columbia cited by ’s�������Ի��� – Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education. The initiative recognizes institutions that planned and implemented practices that encourage their students to register and vote.

The mission of the 2023 Voter Friendly Campus designation is to bolster colleges and universities’ efforts to help students overcome barriers to participating in the political process – every year, not just during years featuring federal elections.

�������ý��Ƶ was evaluated based on a written plan for how it planned to register, educate, and turn out student voters in 2022, how it facilitated voter engagement efforts on campus, and a final analysis of those efforts.

“Thanks to everyone across campus who works collaboratively to support voter registration and get-out-the-vote initiatives, �������ý��Ƶ continues to strengthen our culture of civic engagement and responsible citizenship,” said Garrett Singer, special assistant to the president. “Through this campus-wide effort, we seek to maintain student election participation rates that far exceed the national average for private four-year colleges and universities.”

The designation, which is good for two years, comes in advance of the April 4 Spring Election.

The institutions designated Voter Friendly Campuses represent a wide range of two-year, four-year, public, private, rural, and urban campuses, collectively serving over 3.5 million students.
